Trump Calls His Own Base ‘Losers’ for Believing His Anti-War Promises

So let me get this straight. The man who ran on “no more foreign wars” is now on Truth Social at midnight calling the people who took him at his word “THREE LOSERS.”

That’s what Donald Trump called Tucker Carlson, Thomas Massie, and Marjorie Taylor Greene on Aug. 21, after the three of them sat down together. “LOSERS ALL!” he typed, presumably with the caps lock energy of a man who knows he’s got some explaining to do on the whole America First thing. He called Greene a “highly neurotic young woman.” He called Massie a “failed politician” and a “real JERK.” He said Tucker’s views have “fallen through the floor” and that the man “should be required to take a cognitive test.”

Funny. That’s the same cognitive test Trump bragged about acing himself. You know, the one where you remember five words. But I’m sure that’s different.

Here’s what actually happened, and you won’t get this from the morning shows. Greene resigned from Congress last November after feuding with Trump. Massie lost his primary this year after standing up to the president. Joe Kent, who was running the National Counterterrorism Center, walked away in March because he opposed military action in Iran. These aren’t squishy moderates. These are the people who knocked on doors and made the phone calls and believed the pitch.

Greene put it flat on Aug. 1: “We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all.” She posted a photo of the group and said the movement has begun. Carlson told the Columbia Journalism Review in July he’s building a third party. Kent told USA TODAY on Aug. 19 that an anti-war coalition could be a real force in future elections.

And the president’s response is to call them names and mispronounce Greene’s last name as “Brown” because, and I quote, “Green turns to Brown under stress!” That’s not a policy argument. That’s a man who doesn’t have one.

Now, I’ve been around long enough to know how this works. When somebody in power starts calling people “low I.Q.” and “irrelevant” instead of answering the actual question, it means the question landed. You don’t call somebody a loser at midnight on a Friday if they’re truly irrelevant. You go to sleep. You call somebody a loser at midnight when they’re saying something that stings because it’s true.

The question is simple: did Trump mean it when he said no more foreign wars? Because the people who believed him are now the ones he’s calling losers. Massie lost a primary for sticking to his principles. Greene walked away from the safest seat in Congress. Kent gave up a career in intelligence. These people paid a price for loyalty to a promise, and the man who made the promise is on his phone calling them names.

Trump says they should “join the Radical Left Dumocrats.” That tells you everything. In his mind now, there are only two lanes: fall in line behind whatever he’s doing, or you’re the enemy. There’s no room for “I supported you and you broke your word.” That’s not a movement. That’s a personality cult with a foreign policy attached to it.

Carlson, Massie, and Greene aren’t the ones who changed. They’re standing exactly where they always stood: no foreign wars, America First, put our own people first. The ground moved under them. And the guy who moved it is calling them losers for noticing.

Here’s what I know. When three of your loudest supporters start building a third party because they think you sold them out, and your only answer is “cognitive test” and “Green turns to Brown,” the problem isn’t their IQ. The problem is you broke the one promise that mattered, and you know it.
