Jimmy Kimmel stood up on his stage Wednesday night and told his audience that the federal government is coming for his show. “His FCC has threatened me, threatened our show, threatened our network, ABC, our affiliates, our local stations,” he said, all because of guest bookings “they don’t like.” So his interview with Texas Senate candidate James Talarico won’t air on television. You’ll have to go find it on YouTube.

Now look, I’m not here to carry water for the FCC or any government agency that thinks it gets to pick who goes on TV. If the feds are actually threatening broadcast licenses over a talk show guest, that’s wrong, and I’ll say so plainly. But I’ve got a few questions, and I don’t think I’m the only one asking them.
