Trump Nods Off for Five Seconds and the Left Loses Its Mind, But a Four-Year Biden Nap Was Fine

So let me get this straight. The same people who spent four years telling us Joe Biden was sharp as a tack, that the blinking and wandering and shaking hands with invisible people was just “stuttering,” that the sundowning was a right-wing conspiracy, those people are now clutching their pearls because Donald Trump closed his eyes during a segment?

I’ve got four kids. I run a household. I do my own research. And I have questions.

Where was this energy when Biden literally fell asleep at the G7? When he wandered off into a field in Italy while world leaders watched? When he needed a note card to remember how to sit in a chair? I saw it with my own eyes. We all saw it. But the media told us we were seeing things, and we were supposed to nod along like good little citizens because they know better than us, right?

Now Trump dozes for a hot second and suddenly r/democrats is a sleep clinic. “Cats don’t sleep this much.” “Every accusation is a confession.” Oh, honey. The accusation was YOURS. You branded the man “Sleepy Joe’s” opponent and now you’re mad the opponent blinked. That’s not a confession. That’s a nap.

But here’s what really got me going. The thread wasn’t just about Trump. It was about a young woman sitting there, and the commenters descended on her like a pack of hyenas. Her name is Jayme Leagh Franklin. She’s a mother. She’s married. She founded a company called The Conservateur. She’s a political commentator. She’s a Catholic. In other words, she’s a woman who built something and has opinions the left doesn’t like, so naturally she must be destroyed.

“She looks like an animatronic.” “Dead behind the eyes.” “Vacuous propagandist.” “Fox eye candy.” One genius guessed she was a Delta flight attendant based on her scarf. Another called her a “diaper nurse.” These are the same people who put “believe women” in their bios.

Let me tell you something. I’ve been in enough group chats to know what this is. This is the mean girls’ table from high school, except now they’ve got politics and a Reddit login. A conservative woman shows up on television, speaks her mind, and within minutes she’s being picked apart for her hair extensions and her posture and whether she knows how to hold a gun. Because that’s what empowered feminism looks like in 2025, apparently. Tearing down a woman who built her own media company because she has the wrong opinions.

They called her “the new Tomi Lahren.” Like that’s an insult. Tomi Lahren built a career saying things half the country was thinking but nobody on television would say. If Jayme Franklin is doing the same thing for a younger generation of women who are tired of being told they have to vote Democrat to be “real” women, then good for her.

Here’s what I know. I watched a president who couldn’t string a sentence together for four years while the press told me I was crazy for noticing. I watched a woman get torn apart on the internet for the crime of being conservative and composed on camera. And I’m supposed to believe the people doing the tearing are the good guys?

I’m not buying it. And neither are the other moms at the bus stop.
